Returns and Refunds
At Studio Foon, each ceramic piece is handcrafted with intention, and care. Because of the nature of our small-batch production, we handle returns and refunds a little differently than mass-produced brands.
This policy outlines our approach to change-of-mind returns and damaged items. It does not affect your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
Change-of-Mind Returns
We accept returns on unused, full-priced items within 14 days of delivery.
To be eligible:
- Items must be unused, in original condition, and safely packaged in the original or equivalent protective packaging.
- Proof of purchase is required (e.g., order number or receipt).
To initiate a return, email info@studiofoon.com with:
- Your name
- Order number
- Reason for return
Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a trackable service.
Please note, due to the fragile nature of ceramics, we cannot accept returns on items that arrive broken.
Refunds
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll notify you of the outcome. If approved, refunds are processed to your original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Note:
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable.
- Refunds are not offered for change-of-mind returns on the following:
- Sale items
- Seconds or discounted pieces
- Workshop bookings (unless canceled within 48 hours of purchase)
- Gift cards
Faulty or Damaged Items
We take great care when packaging, but if your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery. Email us with:
- Photos of the item
- Packaging it arrived in
- Your order number
If the item is confirmed as damaged in transit or faulty, we’ll offer a replacement, refund, or repair, depending on availability and the nature of the issue.
Your Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993.
