What is Studio Foon?

Studio Foon is a ceramics studio creating handcrafted, intentional pieces designed to enhance your everyday rituals.

Where are your ceramics made?

Currently they are all handcrafted in my studio in Tarāwhiti, Gisborne, New Zealand.

Can I see or purchase your ceramics in person?

If you're in Gisborne, I have my studio/shop open by appointment, located in Gizzy Local, 64 Lowe Street.

What type of clay do you use?

I use stoneware clay, typically with a little bit of grog. It's known for its strength and durability due to the high firing temperatures. Also stoneware bodies generally have lower water absorption rates than earthenware.

Are your ceramics dishwasher and microwave safe?

Yes, I fire my ceramics at 1260°C, making them durable, dishwasher-safe, and microwave-friendly.

Are your pieces food-safe?

All of the current glazes I use are acid resistant and food-safe, so you can enjoy your meals and drinks without worry.

Are your products handmade? Will they look exactly like the photos?

Each piece is handmade and crafted on the wheel. Naturally, slight variations in colour, size, and texture are will occur. The beauty of this craft means that no two pieces are exactly alike. The photos on our website serve as a close representation.

Do you offer international shipping?

International shipping is not currently available on the website. However, feel free to drop me a message and I can quote international shipping cost.

How long does the order processing take?

I aim to process orders as quickly as possible. Products will be dispatched within 3 days of order.

Does Studio Foon offer exchanges/refunds?

I'm happy to accept returns on unused, full-priced items within 14 days of delivery (excluding sale items, seconds, workshops, and gift cards). If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact me within 48 hours and i'll arrange a replacement (subject to availability) or refund.

Do you offer gift cards?

Yes, gift cards are available on the shop under the gift card tab. Check out as usual, and the gift card can then be emailed directly to the recipient or the purchaser.
